The Builder.
Neil's Page

This was my first Midge. Started in 1985? it took eight months to complete, evenings and weekends, AND I was working full time.
It was a Triumph Herald 1147, on a shortened, narrowed Spitfire chassis.
I rarely had the hood up, even in Winter. Thinking back, it was mostly that the visibility through the rear window was so bad!

The cost was £750 including road tax and insurance. Not quite the figure on the advert., but not so far off.

I clocked up 36 miles each day over the next three and a half years.
