My Midge was acquired last November and it has been off the road for

about 5 years.The car was all in one piece but looked ever so much like a clown's car! 

Maybe it is! 

My idea is to turn it into a proper sports car instead.

 So far, Ive spentsome time rectifying some mistakes made during the original build.

The dash top had been put on at the wrong angle

which added to the crazy effect by making the dashboard look odd. 

  I removed the dashtop and had to cut the thing in half

and then re-assemble it to get it to fit properly. 

I have then made a new dashboard out of ply.

Its not really as good as I'd like so I will make another one.

The wheels have been replaced by white Weller 8 spokes.

  I reckon it will also end up with Aeroscreens too - no wipers

have ever been fitted despite the screen.

I am rewiring the whole thing too at the moment as the original builder

only had two colours of wire - red and black!

This makes fault finding a bit tricky, so out it all comes.

I've also ordered a set of alloy cycle wings for front and rear.

Has anyone fitted cycle wings to the rear before? 

I mean attached to the hub not the body, so they move up and down with the wheel.
