 A Tempest

 

"A rare opportunity to acquire a Steve Campbell Tempest kit turning a Reliant Kitten or Fox into a 1950's style MG 2 seater.  The kit was going to be a vehicle to be used in trials so the fibreglass is thicker than normal. It is 90% complete and missing parts are available as the Tempest is now back in production (see http://www.tempestcars.com). A mixture of fibreglass and aluminium panels, metal framework and metalwork to relocate engine and suspension lowering etc. Pictures only show part of what is on offer. Fantastic, light fun car with plenty of character and a fairly easy build if you are mechanically competent. Donor vehicles still fairly easy to get hold of. The various parts of the kit currently retail around £2K so here is a chance to grab a bargain. This is a Tempest 1 body (manufactured by Reliant cars) on a 1976 Reliant Fox chassis and engine with Morris 1000 back axle and 14inch wheels. Stuart also has a workshop full of other bits and pieces and is quite happy to part with them for pocket money. At the present time he is rebuilding an Austin 7 Ruby, virtually from a box of bits, and this is taking all his time and interest away from his other projects. Should anyone want to contact him,
